Local Ski Area:
Camden Snow Bowl- Three lifts serve 950' of vertical. A short T-bar, a long (4088', or 3/4 of a mile) T-bar, and a double chair get you up; 10 trails get you down. The longer of the two T-bars serves the summit runs. All trails lead back to a comfortable A-frame base lodge where you'll find all services, a retail store with a full shop, rentals, and first aid. The Snow Bowl has an active racing program, a ski school, and a fully-qualified Ski Patrol. Coastal Maine sees its share of big winter storms, but snow making was installed some years ago to ensure a more reliable product, and most trails are groomed daily. The Snow Bowl offers evening or night skiing and riding several times a week except for holidays (when it operates during the day only) and is closed on Mondays except for holidays and school vacations.
Off-slope Fun:
The town of Camden offers distinctive lodging and dining choices, a full range of services, antique, gift, and artisan shops, booksellers, and more.
Fishing :
The Camden Haven River starts high on the Great Dividing Range running east down through a picturesque valley and the historic river town of Kendall. The river then flows into Watson Taylor Lake, Queens Lake and Gogleys Lagoon before entering the Pacific Ocean at Laurieton, Dunbogan and North Haven.
The Camden Haven area is about four hours drive north of Sydney. Fishing is particularly popular from October through to June each year with peaks during Christmas and Easter. Water and air temperatures are generally mild during winter and very pleasant during summer.
The river has a wide range of fishing opportunities from freshwater bass in the upper reaches to estuarine species such as bream, Flathead and Luderick throughout the lakes.

Lobster Boat Race in Friendship:
Lobster boat races are a real Maine tradition going back for generations. They have evolved into formal events held in most of the major harbors up and down the coast every summer.
On Saturday, July 29, 2006 Friendship Maine held their annual lobster boast race. If you have never attended one of these races then you are really missing out on something special!
People come to the lobster boat races from all over the coast as both spectators and participants. Often a lobster person (can't call 'em lobster-man any more, lots of women do it also) loads up their boat with all the family, friends and neighbors and make a day of it.
It's not uncommon to see a propane grill on the stern where on any other day the traps would be stacked. Take a look at some of the accompanying photos and you will see what I mean.
Other Activities:
Tennis court located on Davis Point.
