Description of the Orr's Island vacation cottage rental
This is not just a cottage - it is a very special place on the water with access to Harpswell Sound! This year-round cottage is located on the shore of Harpswell Sound with beautiful expansive views of the Sound. Orr's Island, Maine is a peninsula connected by bridges to Harpswell and Brunswick- just 15 minutes from Brunswick, home of Bowdoin College. This is a very comfortable home that has a fully-equipped kitchen which opens into the dining area and living room with cathedral ceilings and fireplace- hardwood floors throughout. Easy access through sliding glass doors to multi-level deck overlooking Harpswell Sound. Island restaurants are just 5 minutes away. Stairs down to the waterfront with a floating walkway and dock for fishing, boating or kayaking.

Orr's Island is a resort community located in Casco Bay. It is considered a Village of Harpswell, which is located on a 10 mile peninsula that juts into the Bay of Brunswick. Great Island, Orr's Island and Bailey Island are all connected by bridges and are surrounded by many smaller islands. Orr's Island , a place of many bays, coves, and tidal marshes, is a colorful, simple, and peaceful retreat. Orr's Island is for those who love to go fishing, boating, kayaking, hiking, sight seeing, shopping and for anyone looking for a special place to relax to the sounds of the ocean and seabirds. There are many fine seafood restaurants in this area. Just 12 miles from Brunswick, convenient to L.L. Bean, shopping in Freeport and Portland-Maine's largest city. Walk the 8 trails at the Bowdoin Coastal Studies Center-located at the end of the road. The Orr's Island Cottage is truly a wonderful place to relax, read and enjoy the clean air, sun and sea-to truly get away!
