Description of the Captain Cook vacation house rental
Hale O Kohala (Whale House) is located in beautiful Kona Paradise Captain Cook on the Big Island of Hawaii. From the lanai and living room you can view the beautiful sunsets Hawaii has to offer. Even possibly see the Whales breech during migration. There is a very quiet beach called Pebble Beach at the end of the road approx. one minute away where you can swim, snorkel, kayak or dive. The house is located in a very relaxing neighborhood, away from the tourist areas. Hale O Kohala is tastefully decorated in Island decor for that tropical, casual feel. This area of South Kona is a great location for exploring the Big Island. Visit the Place of Refuge, snorkel at Captain Cooks monument, surf Ke'ei beach, drive 70 miles to Volcanoes National Park or shop in Kailua-Kona approx. 25 miles away.

This property is located approx. 31 miles from the Kona International Airport and approx. 23 miles from Kailua-Kona. The Volcanoes National Park is 70 miles away and Hilo is about a 2 hour drive. The world famous Black Sand Beach (Punalu'u Beach) is approx. 35 miles south. Captain Cook's monument and town are approx. 12 miles north with Kealakekua Bay another 2 miles north of Captain Cook. There are many quaint small towns along the highway along with many coffee plantations in the area.
