Location:: Located in the North Georgia Mountains, the Blue Ridge area encompasses hundreds of acres of National Forest property with hiking trails throughout. Bucks R Us is in the heart of the National Forest in the Aska Adventure Area, so hiking begins the second you step out of the cabin. Nearby Lake Blue Ridge as well as the Ocoee and Toccoa Rivers offer water activities, including white water river rafting, jet skiing, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Horse back riding and relaxing in front of the fireplace is popular in the area too! Enjoy antique shopping in the quaint town of Blue Ridge and surrounding towns of Blairsville, Ellijay, and McCaysville.
Our Lodge: is set up with all the conveniences of home, (side by side ice maker refrigerator, gas range, dishwasher, microwave, and central heat and air). The main floor features the kitchen, living room with stone gas fireplace, TV and DVD/VCR, queen size sleeper sofa, bedroom with queen size bed and full bath. The loft area has two sleeping areas, a full size bed, twin size bed and a full bath. The lower level of the cabin has a bedroom with a queen size bed, a full bath with washer/dryer and a family room with a fireplace, TV , VCR, pool table/table top tennis, and electronic dart board. On the covered decks, enjoy cozy seating with rockers, a porch swing, settee, chairs, picnic tables, gas grill and out door hydro-massage hot tub.
Area:: Bucks R Us is located in the Heatherwood II subdivision (a rustic log home settlement). Van Zandt Store is a 1/2 mile away for gas, a few basic groceries and video rentals. The Toccoa River, said to be the best trout fishing stream in Ga, is less than a 1/2 mi. from the lodge. Put in your canoe, kayak or tube for a great ride. Or, If you prefer to swing quietly in the morning or evening, be on the lookout for the deer, squirrels, and wild turkey! Listen to the sounds of the babbling creek below (Weeks Creek is just steps away), and hear the coyotes in the distance. Bucks R Us truly has the peaceful and serene atmosphere you want on your getaway!
